FIREFOX or IE? Can some help me decide?

I have used my IE for many years now, but many friends tell me to switch to Firefox. Can you please tell me the pros and cons? Would I have to uninstall IE? Would the Firefox work with my Live Messenger and stuff? Search engines?

Thanks a lot for the input.

FIREFOX or IE? Can some help me decide?

firefox all the way ... no u dont have to uninstall internet explorer to use firefox ... it will be installed in a different folder as a different explorer ... u can set firefox as ur default browser so that what ever link u open from ur messengers or other softwares it will be opend with firefox ... fire fox is much faster than i.e. and theres more security in it ... it blocks many adwares and pop ups ... if ur missing a plugin to view a web page the firefox will automatically search for the appropriate plug in and ask u to install it (eg - flash player) u dont have to find any plugins ur self ... and u got themes ... u can set book marks easily and u got tab options which u can open multiply links in the same browser but in different tabs u dont have to open browser windows one by one ... (its called tab browsing only available in the new i.e. 7 older i.e.'s dont have this option its like they copied it from firefox) fire fox will work with all the search engines u need and every web site ...

FIREFOX or IE? Can some help me decide?uninstall internet explorer internet explorer

FIREFOX i have both and i like firefox better
Neither. It's all about Opera.

Opera is the only one that can pass the web standards test.

Plus, Opera has built in IRC, torrenting client, and e-mail client.
I think you can use both. Each has it's advantages, what I would do is try both to see what you like. Firefox would work with search engines and stuff.
firefox %26gt; IE
Just download Firefox and give it a shot. No harm done, and it won't uninstall IE. It's a technically superior browser and the ability to add plugins allows you to do much more with it.
Firefox is faster and more safer than IE, but it's functions are alittle different from IE. But I think Firefox is better. You won't have to uninstall IE to have Firefox. I have both firefox and IE on the same computer.
You don't need to uninstall IE to use Fx and you'll be able to use the internet as you have before.
this one is easy

FIREFOX
u dont have to uninstall the IE..u can use both of them simultaneously.....also its a known thing that firefox is a lot better than IE interms of its page loading speed and many other features........also IE conserves 20% of the available bandwidth for microsoft website....so this makes it slower..........

so firefox is the best.........its also the most used browser.......
meh i have both but usually use IE more, i use firefox for playing games and watching videos, its better for that!

Oh and firefox i less likely to get bugs.
FIREFOX

-Much faster %26amp; safer

-easy to use
hi

my suggestion is to go for firefox.when u open multiple tabs IE 7 takes more of the physical memory, which inturn slows down ur computer.but firefox uses INTELLIGENT memory optimizer and uses only a small amount of memory.

BUT wait!!!!!

theres something known as IE 8 beta 1

which is better than both of them download it from

cheers!

Firefox is getting more and more popular. It has cool features, and its most useful one is called Firefox Add-ons. Basically it allows you to download custom tools that other Firefox users have created, such as automatically refreshing a page or all the pages on your tabs, changing the looks of the user interface, etc.

Firefox is definitely safer to use than IE given that about 85% of the world still uses IE. However, Firefox has a few downsides as well, since convenience comes at a price.

For example, if you download the wrong kind of Add-on, you could have a major security breach, and you would never know about it. You'll have to develop some common sense on what you should and should not install. You can't really rely on the browser itself.

Firefox also saves all of your passwords. However, any user on your computer could easily leer through them with a few clicks of a button.

Many people think that Firefox is faster, but it's not necessarily true. Depending on what websites you go to, the memory cache could easily build up to a heaping amount and make your computer lag a lot. This is when you've been browsing a lot without ever closing the application. The only reason why Firefox is faster is because their default memory cache setting is higher than IE's.

Personally, I use Opera. It's efficient, easy to use, and very secure. There are more viruses for Firefox and IE, since not a lot of people use Opera. In any case, the link below will tell you how to use Live Messenger with Firefox.
You can have both. I have both but I only use IE because it's easy for me to use and I rarely have any problems with it. There are certain things about Firefox that just bug me.
firefox is better

you can keep IE and still use firefos

there is even safari for windows
