Merge IE Favorites File?

I exported my Internet Explorer Favorites aka Bookmarks to an HTML file.

Now I would like to merge a piece of the HTML file back into IE Favorites on my new browser.

I captured the piece with Notepad and saved it as HTML.

How do I import just that piece into IE? When I try to import I get the message, not a valid favorites file.

Try to read the oringinal exported HTML file 's HTML code , Or you can export a new one .

and then change the new links and describes into that file .

It said wrong because u just make sure the file type ,but not the contents of the file .
