IE favorites on 2 machines?

I am using IE7 and have approximately 100 links in my favorites in IE at work. I would like to be able to use them on my home PC as well. The only problem is that the rest of my family uses this computer too, and they probably don't need all of my favorites in amongst theirs. Is there a way to use them on both computers, without actually synchronizing them?

take your flashdrive to work. Plug it in and then locate the favorites folder under document and setting. Then copy them all into you flashdrive. Take it home and plug it back in and then go back in under documents and settings and find your home favorites. Make a new folder in there called Work Favorites, or something and then paste them all in there. That way they will all be in a separate folder that wont clog up all your favorites.

.

You can put MyFavorites in a Folder on your desktop if you want. Then you can copy the folder, email it, or burn it to a CD, which ever you like.

Do this:

To see all the places on your pc

Right click your START button %26gt; left click Explore %26gt;

Now, in the left panel, you will see all of the files in a "Tree" (or outline) that are on your pc.

Be CAREFUL what you change.

Under Documents and Settings / Administrator / My Favorites

Right click the folder%26gt; hold down Right mouse button %26gt; drag to your desktop %26gt; let go mouse button %26gt; select COPY HERE

Now a copy of the Favorites Folder is on your desktop

Now you may Zip it to email it

or you can copy it to floppy or CD

or for privacy,

rename it and drag it to another private location.

In the future, when you want to "keep" a link, but not have it go into the regular My Favorites folder, do NOT use the tool bar saving feature:

INSTEAD

use your mouse to drag the address-bar link icon to your desktop, then drag it into YOUR private Favorites folder.
